Corniche II
convertible

Rare Royal Blue- gorgeous presentation
Here is a really stunning looking Rolls-Royce Corniche II convertible finished in much sought after Royal Blue (metallic) with Cream Connolly hide interior and navy blue piping on the seats. The carpets are beautifully contrasted with Ambassador blue (Wedgewood blue) Wilton wool carpets throughout with cream piping. A very, very elegant colour combination throughout. The twin fine lines to the waist-rails are hand-painted in cream to match the interior. The Royal blue takes on a dramatic effect in strong sunlight but in evening and subdued light, transforms to a very formal quasi black hue. Very nice indeed.
The Rolls-Royce Corniche II is powered by a 6.75 litre Rolls-Royce designed and built V8 engine with the Bosch fuel injecton system which provides ultra smooth touring. This example also has the not-so-often-seen rear seat picnic tables.
This example is very original in every detail - with the exception of an aftermarket radio installed (which can easily be changed back to factory, or something more modern, if so desired).
This one is a very
clean 2-owner example, first sold when new in Florida where it resided for some 15 years. She was then owned and regularly maintained in the NY Hamptons as a summer car for the next 20 years. Used sparingly and for special occasions she traversed only some 4,000 miles over that time. Overall, the very low 44,000 odd miles reflects her cossetted life. Like all Park-Ward Motor cars, the car is being sold turn-key. It is subject to a unique process by us only, known as “Predelivery Commissioning” whereby every major and minor service is done,
any preventative maintenance needed, attended to, and all operational features
serviced as required; AC, seats, windows, etc. The process is a bit like late
model cars when they are sold with a Certified Warranty. With Park-Ward,
you get a true “turn-key” motor car ready to be enjoyed.
The body of the car is straight and the paint deep in lustre and consistency. It
was repainted some 10 years ago in its original Royal Blue colour. It does have
some minor blemishes and marks but these are few and only show if one looks
hard. Otherwise it is very shiny without any fading, dents or dings. Rubbers,
mouldings, badges and external fittings are all in good condition.
The interior matching Everflex convertible top is like new without any fading of the rear “glass”.
The interior on this car is very nice and original in presentation. The leather shows beautifully with the contrasting dark blue piping. The interior was lightly redyed by us only because the very light colour was starting to show crease lines in the leather. There were no tears, rips or worn leather. They are super supple and soft.
The door and rear
quarter wood was redone by Park-Ward and presents stunningly as it is simply
flawless and like new. The dash remains original and does have some very minor
hairline fractures in clear finish which is not objectionable, as you can see
in the photos. If you are perfectionist, reach out to us and we can discuss
refinishing the dash as well but it really is quite lovely as is and we don't consider it necessary.
Carpets, seats, dash, console, fixtures and fittings are truly excellent and I
best encourage you to look at all the photos to fully appreciate how nicely the
interior presents. The Ambassador blue carpets are a delightful finish to the
interior and we think what would look absolutely adorable would be a factory
set of matching lambs-wool mouton overlay rugs on top. Again, please enquire.
The car is of
very high standard and is an easy 10 out of 10 driver rating. She is indeed an exquisitely
beautiful example of the Corniche series in its stunning Royal blue coach work
and with only few, in this fine condition, remaining these days.
~~ This is a very elegant
presenting Corniche II in the very desirable "Royal Blue" that looks
great in all settings. She would make a wonderful weekend driver or to add to a
British collection representing the quintessential example of the Rolls-Royce marque.
