(*Interesting note: Californian spec fuel injected cars are easily identifiable by their out-board rear tail-pipes)
Here is a really stunning example of a Bentley T2. Finished in a rarely seen 2-tone Nutmeg over Walnut with a delightful combination of white and umber fine lines to the waist-rails and hubcap beauty rings. The interior has handsome “dark chocolate” Connolly hides with cream piping and matching dark brown carpets with the same cream contrast. The chocolate & cream theme carries through to the boot.
Only a very small number of Bentley T2s were made. They are the twin sister to the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II. It is differentiated by a Bentley radiator grille, mascot and “Flying B”. It has a slightly lower bonnet (hood) with different shaping in the sheet metal and with the car having “Bentley” hubcaps, boot and head-light brow badging.
Their limited number is notable; out of the 10,000 odd Shadow IIs manufactured (including their long wheel base derivatives; the Wraith II) only 5% were Bentley T2s. This makes them highly desirable in their category.
What makes this T2 even more special is that it is one of the last cars built and made to Californian specification fuel injection*. This is very rare for a Bentley T2. If you then take into consideration the even smaller amount that are left remaining – there are probably only 10 fuel injected Bentley Ts left world-wide. And the final option of rarity, she sports a dealer fitted glass sun-roof. The combination of all these features and items, including the rare colour combination would make her 1-of-1!
This is an unmolested example that has been beautifully maintained and presents in marvelous condition. It is primarily all original with no modifications – right down to the original Blaupunkt “blue dot” radio. This was a west coast and then Texan car all its life so it is a “dry” example that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. It has always been well maintained and serviced and comes with its original manual.
The interior looks close to perfect. The dark chocolate leather is in absolutely outstanding condition with no tears nor fading and true to its Connolly characteristics. The leather really has been lovingly preserved. The driver seat cushion was refinished by a previous owner. Aside, the leather has never been redyed or fettered with. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is in good original condition but not perfect with some minor hairline fractures (rather typical for Silver Shadow). We think its originality over-powers the patina but should you feel otherwise, let us know and we can refinish as Park-Ward does this in-house.
The head lining is original and in excellent condition. The original Wilton wool carpets with leather binding are in excellent condition. Likewise is the leather finish to the dash and top-roll. The car comes with a set of chocolate lambswool moutons.
The exterior presentation of this Bentley T2 is lovely. The body is exceptionally straight. The paint is predominantly all factory original and so does show some “polish blemishes” but presents very well with a good lustre. There are some minor marks here and there but mentioned only out clear disclosure. It certainly presents very well for driver enjoyment in what we would describe “enthusiast quality” as opposed to true show quality. Rest assured, however, you could take her as-is to any car display with pride and confidence. Polish and wax her once a year and she will provide many years of enjoyment.
The hubcaps are excellent with no imperfections in the stainless rings or caps. All remaining bright-work is in good condition.
Under the bonnet, the presentation is amazing. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. You must take the time to look at the photos of the engine bay as its presentation is like that of only a 10 year old example. Simply stunning!
As you would expect, this Bentley T2 comes with its original jack, correct tools and operating manual.
The odometer shows a low 37,200 miles and although this is not verifiable, the mileage is commensurate with the condition (particularly when you look at the condition of the interior, under-hood, brake pedal etc). It is quiet and smooth on the road without any of the typical “thumps” and “rattles” typical of poor (or even averagely) maintained examples of this model.
Like all Park-Ward motors cars, this Bentley T2 presented here is subject to our “Predelivery Commissioning” process which ensures all and everything needed is attended to. The car will be delivered with all major and minor services done including important costly items such as the hydraulics and brakes fully inspected and serviced as required. The Predelivery Commissioning program is not just limited to mechanical aspects but all operational features and functions as well; air conditioning, electric windows, seats and so on. All electrics are checked right down to the smallest and insignificant dash and courtesy light. Even the clock will keep good time! At the end of the process, the new owner will receive a turn-key motor car that needs nothing but to be driven and enjoyed.
The car is of very high standard and is an easy 10 out of 10 driver rating.

~~ **Please note: All Park-Ward Motors’ cars, once sold, undergo a process known as “Predelivery Commissioning” which is a detailed procedure for bringing all service and maintenance up to date before shipping to you as the new owner. As an experienced and professional restorer and collector of some 45 years, we have our own in-house Rolls-Royce dedicated service facility with qualified craftsmen on hand. Although our cars have already undergone workshop inspection PRIOR to being offered for sale, once sold, it will be put thru our workshop to ensure all major and minor services are up to date, is mechanically maintained in good shape and all major features and functions are operating as they should. The “Predelivery Commissioning” process ensures your new Rolls-Royce is turn-key. This is all done at NO CHARGE. We do this even though the car is contractually being sold “as-is”. As a passionate collector of the marque I take great pride and pleasure in passing on any of these great cars to its next owner (“caretaker”). Who else selling a Rolls-Royce on eBay does this?! Depending on our work load, please allow approximately 21 business days for this process. For more information on the Park-Ward Motor Museum and our skills, please eBay message me and I would be happy to show you some 200+ Rolls-Royces restored to varying levels over the last few years ~~
